There are broad differences between areas in Barcelona, from the hustle & bustle of El Raval, Las Ramblas and L’Eixample areas, to the more laid back Gracia or the vibrancy of Borne and the charm of Barri Gotic. Our BIP service is provided from the comfort of our office, where we help you identify the ideal area for you to select your investment. This helps ensure that prior to starting to view specific apartments, you are only looking in the areas where you would contemplate investing.
HELP IN FINDING THE RIGHT PROPERTY
Our philosophy is that it is always best to totally understand what you want in a property (number of bedrooms, bathrooms etc.), your budget and exactly the area where you want to purchase so that we can organise a pleasant and exciting apartment selection viewing excursion rather than a trudge looking at properties that you would never consider.
AN UNDERSTANDING OF FINANCIAL PLANNING
Understanding what you want to spend and how much you need to invest is critical to our clients satisfaction. We help you understand the exact costs of purchasing, establishing and maintaining a lifestyle or property investment in Barcelona.
A BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICE
After finding a suitable property and prior to starting the negotiation process we most strongly recommend that the Client accepts our Building Inspection Service. This service is a set fee and is carried out by a registered Builder who, amongst other things, checks the structural integrity of the building. He is also able to advise if there are hidden beams above the ceiling, or covered brickwork, what walls are structural and where services are located. These matters are critical if a renovation is anticipated, as removal of internal walls and exposing beams and traditional brickwork may be very desirable.
In most cases it is possible to purchase for below the asking price of a property. We guide you through this process to help ensure you pay the correct price for your investment.
Part of our BIP business includes arranging all utility services such as local authorities, water, gas, electricity and fibre optic high speed internet for our Clients together with guiding and enlisting you in your property Community of Neighbour scheme.
BIP further provides assistance in helping you settle into your new home. Initially we support you in establishing yourself in your new community with practical advice on even simple matters like the best supermarkets, pharmacies or other specialist stores to shop, contact details for doctors, dentists, medical specialist and emergency services.
AFTER SALES SERVICE
At BPC we do not think our job is done after you settle on your property or we hand over your refurbished apartment to you.
We understand from “first-hand experience” that things can go wrong or you can find yourself in an unusual predicament and may need a helping hand. We have had those gut-wrenching realisations that, we have locked our keys (and spare keys) in the apartment, couldn’t make a taxi driver understand directions, or in one case, couldn’t convince a car salesman that we wanted to really buy a car!
BPC provides assistance should you find yourself in any difficulty or arejust in need of advice on any matter. This may include things like the best way to obtain membership at Barcelona Football Club, finding a good restaurant or attraction, and so on.
